We’ve created a story for our window displays that combines foods that suggest the warmth found in the phrase warmest wishes—the warmth, gentleness, and ardor.

Offering one’s warmest wishes connects in some way with an invisible force that brings happiness. When many people offer their warmest wishes, this warm, gentle force has the power to fully embrace us.

This first half of this season’s display is for November, when you can peek through the openings in the graphic sheets on the windows and imagine what story the display might eventually tell.

What we can see through one of the openings is that ants play a starring role. They don’t like the cold of winter, and are warm and content playing on some floating marshmallows in a cup of hot chocolate. And the white fluffy hairy item—what is it and how does it link with the other items here? It’s fun to think about it.

And seen through the opening in the other window is the female lead, brooding a clutch of chocolate eggs. What will emerge from within their melted shells? What is that sparkling gold fringe?

The sheets will come off the glass in December. The second half, too, will be great fun!
