In Bloom: Haruko Nagata Exhibition

Artglorieux GALLERY OF TOKYO

Art

I am attracted to the pulsations of life and visages seen in flowers, which is why I have painted and drawn them for so long now. My goal is to give form to their shapes and presence as they are born, bloom, lose their petals and repeat the cycle again, over and over. I have great respect for and gratitude toward flowers, who have shared with me forms which need to be expressed through art. This is my first exhibition at Artglorieux, and I urge you to come and look, together with me, at the different types of flowers that are blooming. For these works, I have used acrylic paints on canvas. For framed works and pieces painted on glass, I have prepared the frames myself and consider them to be part of the artwork itself.

「春の花」27.3×45.5 cm Acrylic on canvas

「Bouquet」10×10 cm (Frame 32×23.3 cm) Acrylic, Oil, Glass

「風の花」72.7×116.7 cm (50 inches) Acrylic on canvas
